I'm not sure if I'll keep up with blogging, but here's me making an attempt with some filler.
Yesterday I was working on making better looking Viera ears to go along with the DAZ/Genesis 8 version of my Viera OC. I basically took the ear model from FFXIV, converted the triangles to quads, subdivided, beveled some edges, and added particle hair. After some grooming of the hair and lots of playing with adjustments I think I got some pretty decent results.
Whenever I get some time to I'll try putting these on the XIV model of my OC. Eventually I'll put them on the G8 model, or just try making a new model from the ground up. The low poly design, triangles, and sharp edges made editing the particle hair rather tedious, so I think a proper fully quadded model will not only look better, but save me the hassle of hair clipping.
